India Purchases Javelin Missile System From US In $93 Million Defense Deal | Spotlight | N18G

The United States has approved India’s purchase of the FGM-148 Javelin missile system as part of a USD 93 million defence package aimed at strengthening India’s anti-armour capabilities. The deal includes 100 Javelin missiles, 25 launch units, training gear, simulation rounds and full support equipment. The US defence agency told Congress the sale supports US foreign policy goals and deepens the strategic partnership with India. Washington says the Javelin system will help India counter regional threats without altering the military balance in South Asia. RTX Corporation will serve as the primary contractor for the missile package.
