YOUNG RSF TROOPS BOAST ABOUT K*LLING HIGH NUMBERS

What is particularly astonishing is that the respondents in the video seem to be in their teens or early twenties at the most. With the RSF known to practice and promote the recruitment of child soldiers, these youths may even be minors.

Their total desensitisation to death and apparent pride in it. In a shocking video circulating on social media, young members of the UAE-backed Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia boast about the number of people they have killed across different parts of Sudan.

What is particularly alarming is that the individuals featured in the video appear to be in their teens or early twenties at most. Given that the RSF has a reputation for recruiting child soldiers, some of these youths may even be minors.

Their complete desensitisation to death and their apparent pride in having murdered hundreds of innocent people illustrate how the RSF has fostered a culture of competitive killing within its ranks. This poses a significant obstacle to their potential reintegration into Sudanese society should a peace agreement be reached, especially since many Sudanese believe coexistence with this militia is impossible.

The video also underscores how the UAE has contributed to the destruction of a generation of Sudanese youth. The RSF members in the clip face the grim reality of either dying on the battlefield or surviving with deep psychological trauma that could negatively impact future generations of Sudanese.

Furthermore, the UAE's hypocrisy is evident. While they promote initiatives purportedly aimed at "youth empowerment" in their own country as part of their nation-branding efforts, they treat young people in Sudan as mere cannon fodder for their imperial ambitions. Murdering hundreds of innocent people illustrates how the RSF has bred a culture of competitive killing within its ranks.
