OUR JUSTICE SYSTEM IS UNJUST. WHERE DID WE GO WRONG?

Criminal ... Absolute proof of guilt, beyond the reasonable doubt by a jury of 12. Sentencing generally along certain guidelines. A person can be jailed, fined, sentenced to probations and even executed if found guilty.

Civil ... the bar for burden of proof is significantly lower. Even the possibility of guilt often translates to civil guilt. A person cannot be jailed, probtationed and certainly not executed. However, he can be fined damages which are entirely arbitrary and governed by no guidelines or limits.

O.J. Simpson is just one case where he was found "not guilty" of the murder of his ex-wife and her shack job. An arduous trial covered from coast to coast and even into Canada covered what cost O.J. nearly $9M dollars but, remember, it cost the State of California nearly $13M.

This was a case of "deep pockets" justice where the state, with a "bottomless check book" went after O.J. with everything they had, even inept prosecutors appointed to the case based on race. Yes, they were DEI prosecutors and that was part of the problem here. O.J. was fortunate enough to be able to defend his live after many months in solitary confinement and a nation where at least half the people already had him convicted and hanged.

Be that all as it may, then came the Goldman Civil Suit where Ron Goldman sued O.J. for the murders he had been cleared of in criminal court. But wait! What about "double jeopardy? How is it he was tried for the same crime twice? Regardless of whether he was guilty or not, the re-trial was a travesty but this happens all the time in our horribly damaged judicial system.

There are all manner of inconsistencies here and nobody seems willing to address them. Why?
