Democrats demand that the military commit treason

The recent statements by several Democratic politicians —presenting themselves as former military members and former intelligence officers— raise serious concerns about the way they address the United States Armed Forces. Under the argument of “defending the Constitution,” they seem to imply that service members should question or even reject orders issued under the current administration. This kind of rhetoric, which suggests internal disobedience and places civilians and the military on opposing sides, treads on dangerous ground: it can be interpreted as an attempt to politicize the armed forces and to instrumentalize their oath for partisan purposes.

In a country where institutional stability depends on military discipline and respect for civilian leadership, publicly calling on the troops to challenge legitimate authority is not only irresponsible, but borders on a form of disloyalty to the nation. The loyalty of the Armed Forces must be to the nation and the Constitution —not to the political fears of a party that uses alarmist language to sow mistrust within the very institutions it claims to defend.
