Where do I start with this story of all the hardship that your heart had to endure when your words of faith had been targeted?
How do I even start to elaborate on the darknesses, darkness that was determined to terminate what your heart did?
It was love, pure love that you brought us all when we needed it, healings and parables, the revealings of many actual miracles and the teachings of love above all the rest, the love that you taught us was just the best
No test for unconditional love, loving is what you done, loving is what you gave us and loving is what we won, not only love for neighbours but loving for everyone, you taught us all to forgive, you taught us never to judge
So how on earth could they do what they did to you bruv? This story is so dark it's ridiculousness, looking at this story trying to work out where to start is so hard, I just wanna do it justice, no less
Let's start at the betrayal mate, when Judas kissed you on the cheek, the soldiers were notified who you were and then Pete, pulled out the blade from his sheef, n went for one of their ears, he cut it off with a slice, but you were there with your peace and pure love again
You healed him on the spot
The fact that he was an enemy didn't lead you to stop
They carried you off anyway taking you to the mob
When Peter denied he knew you you knew it was for the cross
N you were led away, where the guards would all mock you, they spat in your face, calling you names, all punched you, blindfolded "prophecy, who hit you?" You knew that they were always out to get you
And get you they did when they all led you to the elders and the priests, the teachers of the law would all speak, and a temple guard slapped you round the face so you turned the other cheek, you claimed to be the son of God and none of them could see it was the truth mate
Then you were stood before Pilate
Pilate decided they were to flog and crucify ya
The soldiers made a crown of thorns and wrapped it round your head, dressed you in a purple robe, they wanted to see you dead "hail king of the Jews!" Was the statement they all said
And the crowds all jeered, they wanted to see the death
It was darkness, pure darkness
Made the crowds look heartless but your heart said
None of these are pure darkness, they're just lost
Lost sheep that need finding by your cost
And your cost would be paid in the next chapter
You'd been captured, wrapped up, bound and dragged around, ragged round and slapped up, crowned and then flogged,
On top of all that you were made to carry that cross
But it didn't stop ya
Your heart just kept going
Even through the pain your love just kept showing
Even as they jeered and whipped ya
Even as they sneered and hit ya
Your love kept flowing through the darkness
Battered and broken
You carried your cross to Golgotha, your heart was still open
Was there that the Romans got ya
Pinned you down and pierced you with the nails to stop ya
They rose up your cross and wrote down 'king of the Jess' on a wooden block
Abuse, it wouldn't stop,
They robbed ya, casting lots for all your garments
Knocked ya, asking God "why not just save yourself?"
I can't imagine the pain that Mary felt
As a vulture flew by like a slave from hell
The clouds all gathered and the rain just fell
And the disciples beside ya knelt, it was the last moments
The thieves beside you passed away, it turned to dark
You said that you were thirsty, they took the stalk of a hysop plant
Soaked a sponge with it in a jar of wine vinegar
N lifted it to your lips
You uttered that "it is finished"
N everybody witnessed your risen spirit, beautiful
But the story doesn't stop there, there would be more to come
But this part of the story is the part about your love
When you have yourself up on the cross, for all of us
Even the crowds that jeered when they chose you over Barabbas
I can't believe the sacrifice you made, it was beautiful
I love you my Jesus, I love you so much
That's why I'll always be carrying my cross
Til the day that I die, when I meet you up in paradise
