Stopped by a talked to the boys working on the Central Union Railroad. Foreman named Percy Whitsickle, said there was some guys up ahead that held the deed to the land where the railroad was headed. Percy was pretty sure that the Cornwall Company was in on it. Probably trying to extort more money or maybe even get ownership of the railroad, if I had my guess.
Percy asked if I would "talk" to those fellers and see if they would be willing to hand over the deed. Well, as with most of my talks, they didn't turn out well for the other feller. Corpses don't tend to keep arguing.
