Episode 1362: How did I get this freedom in Christ? Part 1

Hello everyone. In tonight's Bible study we continue looking into today's Believer living under grace and our relationship with the law.

What we are discovering is absolutely shocking. Our relationship with the law is actually terminated by God. Oh no, I don't mean that we are not to obey the Lord and neither does the scriptures teach such foolishness.

What the scriptures teach is that we have a higher form of living because it is God the Holy Spirit living our lives for us and through us. When we lived under the law of sin and death, it was only us in our weakness due to our own sinfulness who was attempting to live for and please God.

Of course we fell flat on our faces and never left the ground in our futile attempts to please a holy God. Even the fact that that would ever be acceptable to God was an offense punishable by death.

Okay, Kevin, if all that is true then how are we born again Believers are to live today? Should we just wing it and do our own thing? Sure, if that's what the scriptures teach!

I just so happen to know that the scriptures doesn't teach such foolishness. What it does teach is three things:

1 Corinthians 10:31-33 (NKJV)
31 Therefore,
(1) whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, DO ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD.

(2) 32 GIVE NO OFFENSE (meaning don't hurt your testimony of the gospel of Christ by what you allow in your lifestyle), either to the Jews or to the Greeks or to the church of God,
33 just as I also please all men in all things (how do you do that Paul?),
(4) NOT SEEKING MY OWN PROFIT, BUT THE PROFIT OF MANY (why Paul?), THAT THEY MAY BE SAVED.

Now do you understand why and how you should live as a child of the Most High God?

Tonight's study is 1 hour and 16 minutes in duration. I have broken it into eight segments. This is segment 4 of 8 titled How did I get this freedom in Christ? Part 1
