🚨📄 US Pushes Through Gaza Resolution — New Occupation, New Branding

The UN Security Council has now approved the US-crafted Gaza resolution, with Washington celebrating what it calls “stabilisation” — and everyone else seeing exactly what it is: a repackaged foreign occupation with a UN stamp.

Russia and China refused to back the plan. That alone tells you the vote was anything but “global consensus.”

Here’s what the resolution really does ⬇️

♦️ Creates a foreign “stabilisation force”
Authorised to “use all necessary measures” to demilitarise Gaza, disarm armed groups, secure borders, and run the enclave alongside a US-backed “peace council.”
Even Al Jazeera notes it would leave Gaza “essentially occupied, just by a different entity.”

♦️ Gives Washington, Israel and “ceasefire guarantors” control over Gaza’s future
Israeli withdrawal only happens when US-backed benchmarks on “demilitarisation” are met.
Translation: Israel leaves when Washington says so — not when Palestinians do.

♦️ Forces Palestinian statehood into a distant “maybe, someday”
The US tweaked the text to get Arab votes, adding that “conditions may finally be in place” for Palestinian self-determination — but only after the Palestinian Authority reforms itself and Gaza is rebuilt under foreign control.
Still no reference to a two-state solution.

♦️ Israel openly rejects the premise
Netanyahu immediately blasted the language, vowing to block any Palestinian state and to “demilitarise Gaza the easy way or the hard way.”

♦️ Hamas rejects the resolution outright
Hamas says the plan strips Gaza of neutrality and imposes international trusteeship in Israel’s favour.
“Assigning the force to disarm the resistance makes it a party to the conflict,” the group said.

♦️ Arab and Muslim states were pressured with a UN mandate
Some had signalled willingness to provide troops only if Washington secured a UN mandate. Now they have it — and the US is selling it as a global endorsement.

♦️ Russia proposed an alternative
Moscow’s rival resolution insisted Gaza and the West Bank must be reunited as one contiguous Palestinian state under the Palestinian Authority — a vision the US text sidesteps entirely.

👉 Washington calls this “peace.” But if you read the fine print, it’s just an occupation with more flags, more foreign soldiers, and fewer rights for Palestinians.
