UN Human Rights Council Approves Independent Fact-Finding Mission into Alleged El-Fasher Massacre

The UN Human Rights Council has unanimously approved an independent fact-finding mission to investigate alleged atrocities in El-Fasher, Sudan. Reports point to mass killings, torture, summary executions, and widespread sexual violence.
So far, the civil war in Sudan has killed over 150,000 people and displaced about 12 million.
