Catholic Daily Readings and Reflection | Memorial of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary, Religious | November 17, 2025

Jesus asks a blind man the most important question. What do you want me to do for you? The man could have asked for money. Better location. Sympathy. Instead he asked for sight. Lord, please let me see. He asked for transformation, not relief. Many Israelites compromised their faith to blend in culturally. But some chose to die rather than abandon the covenant. Saint Elizabeth of Hungary was a princess who became a queen, then chose poverty and died at twenty-four serving the sick. What you want determines what you become. What are you asking Jesus for?
