WITT: “Well, in fact, elise, Republicans in Congress aren’t much different. I mean, The New York Times has put it this way. Republicans tried to squelch the Epstein furor. Instead, they fed it after Democrats released those emails mentioning Trump, Republicans dumped, what, thousands more. So is there a strategy here?”

KELLER: “It doesn’t. Appear that there’s a strategy. I mean, to Trump’s. Point about wanting. Things to stop wanting to change. The conversation. Make this about what Republicans. Have been able to accomplish. The drip, drip, drip of information around. The Epstein. Files is the exact opposite. Of being able to move the conversation around. I did find it interesting that as we came to reopen the government, everybody’s now back in town, and the conversation was squarely about health care. Now, Democrats have chosen to make this about Epstein, and I think we’re going to continue that conversation for the foreseeable future. We’ve been talking about Epstein for 5 to 6 months. You know, I think that there is a lot more there. And I understand that this is an issue that does divide the Republican base. But I would say that talking about affordability and health care, those are issues that I do think it’s important for us to sort of keep our focus on here in Congress.”
