Border Patrol Chief Promises Stronger Immigration Enforcement in Sanctuary Cities

Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino responded sharply to recent criticism of the agency, stating that those questioning its work “are simply wrong” and have been incorrect “about nearly everything they’ve said over the past two months.”

Bovino, who is currently overseeing training in West Virginia with hundreds of agents, said that border enforcement personnel will be redeployed to various cities across the country, including New York, Chicago, and Charlotte.

He issued a direct warning to Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, stating that he will see a significant increase in immigration enforcement under Title 8 by Border Patrol, ICE, and associated teams. “You can be sure of that,” he emphasized.

The promise of stricter action comes amid growing political tension over the handling of migration in the United States and its impact on major urban centers.
