Fields of the Nephilim are a British gothic rock band formed in Stevenage, Herts, in 1984.
The band's name refers to a biblical race of angelic-humanoid hybrids known as the Nephilim.

Fields of the Nephilim's initial sound incorporated elements of DarkWave, heavy gothic rock, death metal and psychedelia, and comprised a heavy bass and guitar-driven sound underpinned by McCoy's growling vocals.
