After smoking our first ever Texas-style Thanksgiving turkey last week, we asked YOU what we should make with the leftovers… and the vote was overwhelming:

So today, this little British family dives into our very first American Thanksgiving leftover sandwich — complete with smoked turkey breast (from our Franklin offset), homemade dressing/stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, and toasted bread. Not a simple turkey sandwich… this is the FULL Thanksgiving experience between two slices!

This video is a follow-up to our smoked turkey cook where we used a U.K. turkey crown (known in the U.S. as a turkey breast roast) and brined it for 48 hours using Aaron Franklin’s method. The smoke flavour in this sandwich shocked us — especially mixed with creamy mash, sweet-tangy cranberries and homemade American dressing for the very first time.
