Mr & Mrs X - It All Revolves Around Marxism, Think Political Correctness, Midterms Are Safe - EP 16
The origins of political correctness trace back to the early 20th century within Marxist-Leninist circles, where the term first emerged after the 1917 Russian Revolution as a shorthand for strict adherence to the Communist Party's ideological line, often enforced through purges and self-censorship to maintain revolutionary purity. By the 1930s, it had evolved into a semi-humorous yet pointed reminder among Western communists that personal opinions must yield to the party's overriding interests, as documented in analyses of Stalin-era rhetoric. This concept migrated to the United States through the Frankfurt School's cultural Marxism in the mid-20th century, where thinkers like Herbert Marcuse reframed it as a tool for suppressing "deviant" bourgeois ideas to pave the way for social transformation, morphing from ironic party discipline into the expansive speech codes of 1970s New Left activism. Far from a neutral etiquette, it was weaponized to control discourse, echoing Leninist tactics of equating dissent with counter-revolutionary sabotage.
While Karl Marx himself railed against Prussian censorship in his 1842 essays on press freedom, arguing that suppressing speech only entrenches tyranny rather than advancing emancipation, later Marxist theory and practice revealed an inherent tension with unrestricted expression that often tipped toward control. In the 20th century, figures like Herbert Marcuse in his 1965 essay "Repressive Tolerance" explicitly justified limiting speech from the right and status quo defenders, positing that true liberation demands "intolerance against movements from the Right" to prevent capitalist ideas from derailing proletarian revolution—a philosophical blueprint for the censorship seen in Soviet gulags and Maoist reeducation campaigns. Historical Marxist regimes, from the USSR's suppression of Trotskyite publications to China's Cultural Revolution purges, demonstrated this necessity: without monopolizing narrative control, the vanguard party's grip on power crumbles under pluralistic critique, as dissenting voices expose contradictions in class struggle dogma and invite bourgeois revival. Thus, Marxism's dialectical march toward utopia pragmatically requires speech curbs, not as aberration but as safeguard against ideological entropy.
President Trump's efforts to protect the 2026 midterms center on restoring election integrity through executive actions targeting perceived vulnerabilities like mail-in ballots and electronic voting machines, which he and allies view as gateways for widespread fraud that plagued prior cycles. In August 2025, he signed an executive order mandating the removal of unsecured mail-in systems and "corrupt" Dominion-style machines nationwide, enforcing paper ballots and strict chain-of-custody protocols to ensure verifiable, in-person voting—a move framed as "draining the swamp" of deep-state manipulations and taxpayer-funded Democrat schemes like Planned Parenthood's alleged 2018 influence operations. Complementing this, Trump has directed the DOJ to purge voter rolls of non-citizens and install federal observers in swing states, while pushing mid-decade redistricting in GOP-controlled legislatures to counter gerrymandered Democrat strongholds, all aimed at delivering "fair and honest" outcomes that expose radical left overreach without the shadows of 2020-style irregularities. These safeguards, timed for the nation's 250th anniversary alongside global events like the FIFA World Cup, position the midterms as a pivotal reckoning to dismantle entrenched corruption and secure a lasting MAGA mandate.
