AEW’s BLOOD and GUTS Review… Total Chaos, Terrible Booking, but Fun Show! #shorts

This show was a MESS — total disaster — but I have to say, it was funny to watch. AEW put on their first-ever Women’s Blood and Guts Match, and folks, it was about what you’d expect. Mercedes Moné, Megan Bayne, Marina Shafir, and that little “Triangle of Madness” group against Statlander, Toni Storm, and company. So much blood, so much screaming, so little wrestling. You could barely tell what was happening!

Mercedes wins because Toni Storm — who’s supposed to be her friend — literally TAPS OUT on Mina’s behalf! You can’t make it up! A friend taps out for you — that’s AEW logic, folks. I’ve seen better booking in an elementary school play.

Then Hangman Page beats Powerhouse Hobbs in a falls count anywhere match. Hobbs goes through sparks, equipment, probably OSHA violations all over the place. Eddie Kingston and Hook show up to clear out The Opps — looked like a backyard brawl at a gas station.

Tony Schiavone brings out Ricky Steamboat, a legend, great guy, but he starts talking about the 70s — nobody cares anymore! Out comes FTR to interrupt and beat up a legend. Very classy, right? Luckily, Brodido made the save.

Then the main event — the Men’s Blood and Guts. Darby Allin, Kyle O’Reilly, and all the “good guys” vs. the Death Riders. It looked like a car crash. Moxley bleeding, PAC angry, Claudio spinning, Garcia confused — total chaos. Kyle O’Reilly wins with an ankle lock, somehow, in a match that looked like 10 people fighting over a dropped sandwich.

Terrible booking. Bad pacing. Lots of blood. Little wrestling.
AEW calls it art — I call it a lawsuit waiting to happen. Sad!
