Indices Open Marginally Lower Amid Mixed Global Cues; Sensex Down 116 Points, Nifty At 25,837

The Indian indices opened marginally lower today amid mixed global cues.

The Sensex was down 116.22 points or 0.14 percent at 84,350.29, and the Nifty was down 37.95 points or 0.15 percent at 25,837.85. About 1311 shares advanced, 965 shares declined, and 136 shares unchanged.

Asian Paints, Tata Steel, Hindalco, Dr Reddy's Labs, Jio Financial were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were ONGC, Bajaj Finance, Apollo Hospitals, Shriram Finance and TCS.
