Sports headlines were dominated by Manchester City’s 3-0 win against Liverpool, but the real story was what was happening outside of the stadium as protests aimed to raise awareness of the club’s link to the genocide in Sudan.

Under the ownership of UAE vice-president Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed - the third-man in the UAE’s royal family - City faced 115 charges for breaching financial rules. But the club’s owner should be facing far more serious charges.

Recent investigations reported how Sheikh Mansour plays a central role in arming the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia conducting a campaign of ethnic cleansing and r*pe as a weapon of war in Sudan.

Calls intercepted by the CIA revealed that City’s owner was directly coordinating with RSF Commander Hemedti, with Sheikh Mansour’s "charities" used as cover to supply weapons.

115 financial charges are simply the price of the soap that Sheikh Mansour pays to sportswash the blood of Sudan off his hands.
