US government shutdown 'pointless', 'bipartisan failure': analysts

Members of the House of Representatives headed back to Washington on Tuesday (November 11) for a vote that could bring the longest U.S. government shutdown in history to a close. Political analysts representing both the Republican and Democratic viewpoints agreed that a government shutdown is a bipartisan failure to the people, but thought opposing parties should shoulder more of the blame.
