The Masoretic Text: Not a 1st-Century Scripture

When people speak of the Masoretic Text (MT) as if it were the Hebrew Bible known to Christ and the Apostles, they betray both chronology and fact. The MT is not a first‑century artifact. It is the end product of a 6th–10th century editorial project - executed under Karaite influence, centuries after the time of Christ, in an intellectual climate shaped by Islamic dominance and rationalist literalism.
