I just watched Cash Jordan’s video about the “OPEN BORDERS” mob attacking the ICE facility in Portland — and I have a lot to say. This wasn’t just a protest: it’s a breakdown of law & order when a mob blocks streets, assaults infrastructure, and then expects sympathy when arrests come. On top of that, Portland’s police and judges seem to be under-performing or unwilling to enforce the rules. Meanwhile agencies like ICE and federal/military units are forced to pick up the slack.

In this reaction I’ll cover:

Why the local response fails: court decisions blocking troop deployments, police acknowledging strained support for federal forces.

Why I’m harsh on the mob and Antifa-style tactics: traffic obstruction, property damage, modern protest turned into tactical harassment.

Why I stand with ICE/federal/military enforcement: Protecting secure facilities, enforcing laws, holding chaos back.

The broader conclusion: If laws exist, they must be enforced—protest doesn’t give license to break them, and local authorities shouldn’t pick sides.

Blocking traffic, refusing police orders, and engaging in aggressive behaviour crosses into liability. The press release from PPB shows arrests for “Disorderly Conduct” when protesters refused to move off streets. Protests have power, but when you obstruct public safety and infrastructure you undermine your cause.

PPB admitted they use undercover informants when criminal activity is suspected—but the public trust answer was weak. Federal law‐enforcement testified that local police requests for support went unanswered.

A federal judge blocked deployment of National Guard troops, citing that the protests were not the “war-zone” rhetoric claimed. This combination suggests the local judiciary and police are hesitant to fully enforce, causing confusion and enabling mobs.

ICE has a lawful role in immigration enforcement; when demonstrators assault a secure facility or harass officers, federal agents step in to protect infrastructure and enforce law. The protests focus on “open borders” ideology but engage in violence and property destruction; enforcement agencies serve public safety regardless of political stance.

If local judges and police selectively enforce or block reinforcements, it sends the message that some groups are above the law. That undermines trust in institutions. When right of protest is honored only so long as it remains peaceful—and when authorities allow escalation without follow-through—the system breaks.
