In this TBKHomeworld video, I test out the DOYLE Magnetizer/Demagnetizer from Harbor Freight (SKU 70918). This compact tool uses rare earth magnets to magnetize or demagnetize screwdrivers and bits in seconds — but does it really work?

I unpack it, try it on a few old screwdriver bits, and give it a go on an old Craftsman Torx screwdriver. The results?
✅ Excellent magnetization and demagnetization on screwdrivers — strong enough to hold a 3” screw!
❌ Weak results on 1/4" hex bit holders and extensions — barely enough magnetism to hold a bit in place.

If you’ve been struggling with weak magnets in your screwdriver or bit holders, this tool might be a partial fix — but don’t expect miracles on everything.
