Records show Mamdani’s campaign received nearly $13,000 from illegal foreign donations, including contributions from his mother-in-law in Dubai. Of the 170 foreign contributions identified, 88 totaling $7,190 have not yet been returned, despite campaign promises.

Mamdani has raised $4 million in private donations plus $12.7 million in public matching funds, with $6.1 million on hand less than a month before the election. Critics warn that these foreign donations may signal a dangerous precedent for dark money influencing U.S. elections.
