We’re back in our UK kitchen turning leftover butterscotch chips into one of America’s most nostalgic cookies — Oatmeal Scotchies! Soft, chewy, cinnamony, caramelly… and way more delicious than we expected. Will they win us over? And will dunking them in milk really make them better? Let’s find out!

✅ RECIPE — OATMEAL SCOTCHIES (Ingredients & Method)

INGREDIENTS
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp molasses
1 cup flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
3 cups oats
2 cups butterscotch chips

METHOD (Narrative Style)

Mix flour, baking soda, and cinnamon in a bowl.
Cream butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
Add eggs, vanilla, and molasses.
Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients.
Add oats and butterscotch chips.
Chill the dough for 45 minutes.
Roll into scoops (about 3 tbsp each).
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 13–14 minutes, until golden around the edges.

Cool slightly… then taste test (dunking optional but encouraged!).
