Sucker Punch Dev FIRED For Mocking Charlie Kirk’s Death

Charlie Kirk was assassinated on the campus of Utah Valley University — and shockingly, a senior developer at PlayStation’s Sucker Punch Productions (Ghost of Tsushima, rumored Ghost of Yotei) openly mocked his death online.

Drew Harrison, a senior lookdev & texture artist, celebrated Kirk’s killing and even doubled down with Mario & Luigi jokes. Other developers in the industry joined in, liking and reposting the same disturbing comments.

This isn’t just one person’s bad tweet. It exposes a toxic culture in the gaming industry — where politics and hostility are bleeding into real life. And if companies like Sony don’t step in, what message does that send?

⚠️ Do YOU think studios should hold employees accountable when they cross the line into celebrating death? Or should “free speech” protect them no matter what?
