Wife and Lover Plot Cold-Blooded Murder of Husband in Meerut

A shocking murder in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut district has exposed a chilling tale of betrayal and conspiracy. In Parikshitgarh area, a woman named Anjali and her lover Ajay plotted and executed the murder of her husband Rahul Kumar after their illicit affair came to light.

Police said Anjali, whose extramarital relationship with Ajay had been going on for about one and a half years, provoked him to kill her husband after being caught. Acting on the plan, Ajay shot Rahul three times, killing him on the spot. Moments later, he reportedly called Anjali and said, “Anjali, I’ve finished it.”

The deceased, Rahul Kumar, was a resident of Agwanpur village. His father, Tekchand, said Rahul was their only son and the father of three boys — Vansh, Lucky, and Lavi. On November 1, Rahul had left home around 8 p.m. saying he was going to meet someone. When he didn’t return and his phone went unanswered, the family lodged a missing person’s report at the Chitwana police station.

The next morning, villagers discovered Rahul’s body in a nearby forest, with three bullet wounds to his chest and spent shells lying nearby. His distraught father broke down upon identifying the body.

During investigation, police found that Ajay, a youth from the same village, was involved in a long-running affair with Anjali. The affair had caused repeated quarrels between the couple. About two weeks before the murder, Rahul reportedly caught the two in a compromising position. Following that, Anjali urged Ajay to “remove” Rahul so they could live together.

On the night of the murder, Ajay called Rahul to meet him on some pretext and started an argument. In the heat of the moment, he pulled out a .315-bore pistol and fired three bullets — one in front and two as Rahul tried to escape.

SP Rural Abhijeet Singh said that Anjali’s mobile phone was put under surveillance, and call records confirmed her involvement. Police later arrested both Anjali and Ajay, recovering the pistol and three live cartridges. The duo confessed to the crime and have been sent to jail on court orders.
