Boosted Safe First Impressions

I’ll be testing out this vehicle safe from Boosted Safe over the next few weeks. I thought the way it secures to the ISOFIX anchor points was a pretty clever idea.

Previously, I used a small pistol safe that fit under my seat and was secured with a cable to the seat mounting bracket. It worked well for locking up my carry gun when I needed to run into the post office or anywhere else I couldn’t carry. But if I had my laptop, DSLR camera, or both with me and needed to stop at the grocery store, I’d bring them inside rather than leave them in the car. This new setup seems to solve that problem.

My first impressions are that it was easy to install and set up. I figured out which finger I’d likely use to open it and registered multiple fingerprints of that finger at different angles. So far, opening it has been very quick. It can also be opened with a passcode or physical key. Detaching it from the ISOFIX anchor points is simple. I rarely have anyone sitting in that seat, so I doubt I’ll need to remove it often.
