Extremely rare demo recording of obscure late 70's rock single "Refugees" written and performed by John Trivial. Many people have speculated John was actually Tom Petty using a writer's name, while others have claimed John and Tom were good friends and fellow song writing partners.

LYRICS

[Verse 1]
We got problems', we both know it, they don't talk too much about it
Ain't no real big secret, build a wall, somehow they get around it

[Pre-Chorus]
Listen, I don't want these people round' me
Go retrieve who you want to retrieve

[Chorus]
You don't, have, to live with these refugees
(Don't have to live with these refugees)
You don't, have, to live with these refugees
(Don't have to live with these refugees)

[Verse 2]
Somewhere, somehow, somebody needs to kick out the brown ones
Tell me why you want them to stay, while you live in the Hamptons

[Pre-Chorus]
Yeah, they jam up the system for me
Everybody's got to pay for their fees

[Chorus]
You don't, have, to live with these refugees
(Don't have to live with these refugees)
You don't, have, to live with these refugees
(Don't have to live with these refugees)

[Bridge]
Baby we came here first
These people need to go before they make things worse
When this s..t gets real for you
They'll lie to your face and tell you that it ain't true

[Verse 3]
Somewhere, somehow, somebody needs to round up the bad ones
Who knows, maybe they get kidnapped, tied up, taken away or held for ransom

[Pre-Chorus]
Listen, they don't really matter to me
Everybody can't take our s..t for free

[Chorus]
You don't, have, to live with these refugees
(Don't have to live with these refugees)
You don't, have, to live with these refugees
(Don't have to live with these refugees)
