Balich Says It's Not About Taking Care Of People and He Means It

So Steve Balich likes to say he’s “for seniors,” but when they actually need a ride to the doctor or the store suddenly that support disappears. Kinda reminds me of when he first took office as Supervisor and raised rent twice on senior housing.

Watch how he gets defensive and snaps at other board members who try to clarify something for him. He keeps insisting Homer Township is a “big township,” when in reality it’s ranked below mid-sized. His numbers are always bloated, just like his ego.

Balich talks a lot about “socialism” and “personal responsibility,” but here’s the thing: he inherited his home from his mom, and his 39-year-old son still lives with him. Meanwhile, he lectures others about parents giving their kids money until their kids are 50.

And if you listen to the end, he flat-out says it’s not about taking care of people. He means it.
