In order for citizen journalism to replace MSM it must be held to a higher standard of truth, ethics, and objectively. The standard must be truth over narrative.

A native Texan, she began at WLOX in Mississippi, exposing undisclosed meth-contaminated homes and sparking state disclosure laws. She advanced to WREG in Memphis, earning Emmy Awards along the way. Later roles included chief investigator at KVUE (Austin), KMGH (Denver), and KHOU (Houston), where her exposés on rape kit backlogs and consumer fraud prompted policy reforms and garnered the 2014 duPont-Columbia Award, multiple Murrows, Gracies, and IRE finalist nods. Now a stay-at-home mom and lifestyle blogger in Houston, she shares fashion and family insights.
