Junk food contains high levels of calories from sugar or fat with little fiber, protein, vitamins or minerals. Junk food can also refer to high protein food like meat prepared with saturated fat. Some of the benefits of avoiding junk foods are.

9) You can prevent carcinogens. The deep fried junk foods are prepared using cheap hydrogenated fats to increase their shelf life.
10) You can prevent infertility. Most of the meats used in these food items are sources of growth hormones.
11) Refined sugars are known to deplete the nutrient levels in your body and hamper your immunity levels.
