American Marines Invade Iceland in 1941

The British military first forced themselves upon the small population of Iceland in 1940, on May 10. This establishment of military bases was "justified" as "protection" against the inevitable invasion from Germany. Roosevelt was all too happy to join the occupation of Iceland the following year. Notice the pattern that would be repeated over and over again to this day.
