BWI accepting food donations for TSA employees
As the government shutdown continues, the BWI Thurgood-Marshall airport is offerings support for TSA employees working without pay. There are more than 600 federal employees that work at BWI that are not getting paid right now, so the airport and different organizations decided to take action. “We appreciate and thank our skilled, dedicated federal partners that continue working to serve our passengers during the partial government shutdown,” said Ricky Smith, Executive Director of BWI Marshall Airport. “I am proud that the airport community as a whole is working to support and assist our federal workforce during this difficult period.” To help out, airport workers are taking food donations now through Friday, January 25, for federal employees. Any non-perishable food items will be accepted.
