Comey Seeks Disclosure of Grand Jury Materials In False Statements Case Against Him

In United States v. Comey, the defense has filed a motion seeking disclosure of grand jury transcripts and audio recordings.

Fed Rule 6(e)(3)(E)(ii) allows for the disclosure of grand jury materials when a defendant “establish[es] that particularized and factually based grounds exist to support the proposition that irregularities in the grand jury proceedings may create a basis for dismissal of the indictment.”
