on a night of July 1, 2025, an astronomer saw something unusual while using the Atlas telescope in Chile. Just behind the orbit of Jupiter, there was a small point. At first, it seemed like an ordinary observation that just an asteroid or comet was passing through the solar system.

But within a few hours, scientists realized that they were seeing something extraordinary. A comet that did not come from our solar system, but came from another world present between the stars. It was named 3i Atlas.

This snowy object is the third interstellar object discovered so far. And a few days after its discovery, it has become the world's largest comet. This new interstellar object can solve the mysteries left by the Umamua and Comet Borisov detected before it.

So let's find out about this new guest from interstellar space. Before that, like, share the video and subscribe to the channel. Friends, most of the comets, asteroids, and planets in our solar system orbit the sun on an elliptical path.

And their speed is balanced by the attraction of the sun's gravity. But the 3i Atlas is moving at a very fast speed, about 70 km per second in comparison to the sun. It is much faster than the flying waves of the solar system in its place.

An object traveling at such a speed cannot be bound by gravity. This means it is just passing through our solar system. This trajectory is best described as hyperbolic.

And its shape is mathematically defined by orbital eccentricity. For example, the eccentricity of a circular orbit is zero. An ellipse comes between 0 and 1. And a parabolic escape trajectory is exactly 1. And any trajectory above 1 is hyperbolic.

And the orbital eccentricity of the 3i Atlas is more than 6. Which means it has come from interstellar space to our solar system. Now the question is, how did we know that the 3i Atlas is a comet? Friends, this is not just a fast floating dry rock in space. It is such an object that reacts clearly to the heat of the sun.
