Joseph Smith in Palmyra: The Moment Heaven Spoke

In the spring of 1820 in upstate New York, a 14-year-old boy named Joseph Smith entered a grove of trees with a question that had eternal consequences.

He yearned to know which of all the churches was right, that he might know which to join. In response to his sincere prayer, God, the Eternal Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to Joseph and inaugurated the "restitution of all things" as foretold in the Bible (Acts 3:21).

I joyfully witness that the Father and the Son appeared to the boy Joseph Smith, thus initiating the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ in the latter days.

The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and contains the word of God.

Priesthood authority to represent the Savior and act in His name, again is found on the earth.

And The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's New Testament church, restored.
