Israel has been secretly sabotaging and inserting spy-tech into equipment for a long time, as an insurance policy against all nations, including their allies, like the United States.

Israel once intercepted a shipment of Pagers and Walkie-Talkies headed to Hezbollah members from China. They hid explosives inside of them, then allowed the shipment to proceed as normal. For nearly a year, Hezbollah used this equipment being none-the-wiser that they were actually bombs. On September 17, 2024, Israel triggered these devices, killing several high-profile members of Hezbollah and a few innocent people who received the equipment second-hand.

All nations should take note that Israel has done this.
While China gets blamed most often, Israel is probably the biggest culprit in industrial espionage. Stealing technology from nations all over the world, with America being the #1 victim. This has been used against Iran's computer network for their nuclear program. Other methods could include shorting lithium batteries in cell phones, causing them to catch fire or explode, no explosives needed. There are several ways to sabotage tech through hardware and software manipulation that are nearly impossible to detect.
