💶 Digital euro is coming: 'Final phase' activated

♦️ ECB President Christine Lagarde has announced the "next and final phase" for the digital euro, with a rollout planned as early as 2027 and a full launch by 2029.

♦️ Her "good news": The European Council has asked to "accelerate the process."

♦️ Goal? To make digital cash "circulate" alongside physical banknotes, turning it into centrally controlled currency.
