Super Bowl Brownies

In this video, One 18.3OZ Duncan Hines Chewy Fudge Brownie Mix used to make microwaved brownies.
1st recipe used for 1 brownie.
2nd recipe used for 4 brownies.

(*See ingredients below for 1 or more servings)

Entire box mix measured accordingly. Don’t pack your measuring cup/spoon, keep the mix fluffy. Use a knife or fork to gently flick or scrape off excess from the top of your measuring cup or spoon to get level measurements.

1 box yields 16 of these microwaved brownies.
(store remaining dry mix in original or ziplock bag, inside the box).

This box mix calls for eggs and water, with noted swap! Swap eggs with applesauce, and swap water with milk. Applesauce, rather than eggs really helps for small portions cooked in microwave. you don't have to use milk, you can use water.

DIRECTIONS:
With a fork, mix ingredients in large bowl, then add 1-2 servings of batter to lightly oiled soup bowls. Up to 2 servings of batter per bowl so that it cooks evenly.

OPTIONAL: Add 1/2 Tbsp any flavor chips, dried fruit or chopped nuts per serving, insert on top of batter, too much added ingredients may make the brownie fall apart.

Microwave one bowl at a time for 1 minute. Check with a toothpick if batter is wet in center, if wet, microwave additional 30 second increments until center appears dry; these took nearly 1.5 minutes each. Carefully remove hot bowl to cooling surface. Let very hot brownie bowl cool before serving. Serve as is or slide a silicone spatula or butter knife along the edges of the brownie, it should release easily. Turn cooled bowl upside down onto your hand, then place brownie on a serving plate.

Experiment with the first couple of brownies to find that sweet spot for cooking time. Remember a hot bowl out of the microwave is still hot enough to continue cooking your brownie. You don't want to overcook them.

If you prefer icing, ice cream sandwiches, pudding, powdered sugar, caramel, fudge, whipped cream, fruit or any other topping, give it a try. Frozen Strawberries heated in a microwave just until warm, topped with whipped cream are also tasty. Plain brownie, warm or cold toppings work.
