JD Vance Warns of Government Shutdown’s Impact on Aviation Industry, Urges Immediate Reopening

Vice President JD Vance expressed deep concern over the growing challenges facing the aviation industry as a result of the government shutdown, following a roundtable discussion with both union and business leaders from the sector.

Vance noted that delays and pressure on aviation workers are increasing, potentially affecting both safety and efficiency in air travel. “I’m worried that security workers, pilots, and air traffic controllers aren’t getting paid and are having to worry about how to feed their families or pay their bills,” he warned.

The vice president blamed Democrats for refusing to reopen the government and called for an end to partisan gridlock. “This is very simple: every American — Democrat, Republican, or Independent — should be able to agree on one thing: reopen the government and stop this madness,” he stated.
