Propaganda has played a major part in every foreign exploit of the American oligarchic and military establishment. If popular sentiment is opposed to aggression overseas, then the media machine will manufacture patriotic reasons why we absolutely must clobber so and so. And if that doesn't work, then a large loss of life within our borders will be ordered up to gain the necessary anger of John Q. Public. The bottom line is that money must flow to the right places and the right people on a consistent and persistent basis.
