The Promised Land of Organized Crime

After yesterday’s NBA–Italian mafia scandal, I couldn’t help but picture the familiar scenes; the smoke-filled poker rooms, the laughter over whisky, the men in tailored suits with gold chains and cold eyes.

Hollywood made sure we know what the Italian mafia looks like. We’ve seen it a thousand times, romanticized, mythologized, almost part of American folklore.

But the most insidious and powerful mafia isn’t Sicilian at all, it’s the one Hollywood never shows you. The one you’re not even allowed to name: the Jewish mob.

While the world is saturated with movies about Corleones and Capones, the real global power network; the financial, political, and media machinery built by the Jewish underworld, has been carefully erased from public consciousness.
