MZTV 1853: God Wants the World to Think He's Crazy

While working on my book, "Martin Zender Goes to Hell" a couple decades ago, I had to confront the phenomenon that most Bible translations actually mistranslated some very key Greek words (gehanna, hades, aion, aionios), causing most the human race to believe in eternal torment. But this wasn't the true phenomenon. The true phenomenon was that God, being God, could easily have caused the translatptd to get these important words right. And yet He didn't do that. The conclusion was startling: GOD WANTED MOST ENGLISH BIBLES TO BE MISTRANSLATED. GOD WANTED MOST OF HUMANITY TO BELIEVE THE LIE OF ETERNAL TORMENT.

The question then becomes, "Why in the world would God do that?" During this phase of God's eonion purpose, God does not want the majority of the human race understanding and coming to Him. It delights Him, for now, to call and take a very few into His confidence. So while the majority of the English Bibles are mistranslated, God made sure there were concordances available for research, and then finally inspired a man (A.E. Knoch) in 1911, to begin work on a translation that put concordance research directly into the text. This became the Concordant Literal New Testament.

The takeaway is that God is not trying to look smart and failing. God is not trying to get the world to like Him and falling on His face. Otherwise, He would be doing things far differently. Rather, He is "turning off" the world in order to turn to Himself a small gaggle of faithful friends who will love Him and follow Him no matter what. Once He has perfected this core group, He will then use them to reach the rest of the world, indeed, the remainder of the universe.

God turns out to be a benevolent genius. What we know now, the rest of creation will come to know eventually.
