The Protestant Unity Dodge

A critical examination of the concept of Protestant unity. The common claim of being united by "Jesus and the Bible" is a means to obscure significant theological divisions. I focus on three core areas where Protestant denominations hold contradictory beliefs: salvation with groups disagreeing fundamentally on the role of works versus faith alone; baptism, where practices range from essential infant baptism to adult-only declarations, or even rejecting the ritual entirely; and church leadership, highlighting conflicts between hierarchical structures and movements favouring congregational authority or charismatic anointing.
These profound disagreements demonstrate a fractured religious landscape rather than the promised oneness, turning shared scripture into a source of ongoing conflict.
