Qualcomm buys Arduino / Arduino Uno Q - the open source ecosystem consequences

@qualcomm bought @Arduino and released the Arduino Uno Q. Pundits ask if this marks the end of the line for the Arduino open source ecosystem? I honestly don't think so - this video shows why Qualcomm has more to lose than to gain by messing with the community.
