The Colosseum Rome

The Colosseum, built in Rome between AD 72 and 80 under the Flavian emperors, was the largest amphitheatre of the ancient world. It hosted gladiatorial games, public spectacles, and could seat around 50,000 people, remaining today a powerful symbol of Roman engineering and culture.
