Some Say "Gun Control" Merely Reflects Reasonable Restrictions Like Those Imposed on Drunkards

Someone said "gun control"--a ridiculous euphemism originating on the left--simply mirrors reasonable restrictions like those imposed on drunkards rather than intimating an inevitable destruction of rights. But, can the right to keep arms be reduced to restrictions on drunkards or is there some underlying moral subtext that makes our rights worth sacrificing for?
