Go behind the scenes of how and why I created an AI-assisted trailer for my best-selling sci-fi novel BOUNDING LINE.

The trailer is part of a long-term experiment: to see if emerging AI tools can help translate a full novel into a feature-length film, direct to the audience.

I break down the full workflow — from outline to shot list, AI prompting, and visual creation — using Veo 3, Midjourney V7, Kling, and Higgsfield.

I also explain why I made the trailer: as an Australian indie sci-fi author, there’s limited industry infrastructure, and AI provides a new way to bypass gatekeepers and reach an audience directly. Along the way, I cover the real challenges, creative compromises, and lessons learned while turning a novel into a cinematic experience.
