Christ the King Triumphs Over a Darkened World

Jesus is the King of the Jews, not only by right as God and heir to the throne of David, but also because of his suffering and death on the cross. His kingship is not of this world, but a spiritual kingdom based on love and charity, contrasting with the kingdoms of this world, which are often aligned with Satan and characterized by selfishness and materialism. The Catholic Church is the earthly manifestation of Jesus’ kingdom.

Remain faithful to Jesus, even in difficult times, to share in his resurrection and glorification. His kingship is on the cross in this world and on God’s throne in the next.
