Videos endorsing Mamdani received promotion rates way higher than what typical user engagement would predict, flooding New York feeds with his content on issues like housing reform and anti-Israel activism.

On the flip side, clips backing Cuomo—whose tenure as governor included tough-on-crime measures and economic recovery efforts—were systematically downranked.
They appeared up to 40% less often than expected based on views and shares.
